Frequently Asked Questions:
Surrendering cats. I can’t keep my cat anymore, can you take it? We do not usually take in private surrenders, usually cats who have been living in a comfortable household situation will fret if brought into a shelter set up. We usually suggest trying to find a home with friends or family. Or you could contact a ‘Foster Care Network’ – these are groups who will keep the animals in a private ‘foster’ home whilst they look for a permanent home.
Do you take in strays (cats and/or kittens)? As a registered shelter, The Cat Corner is not allowed to take in stray cats. All strays need to go to their appropriate council pound, so that if there is an owner out there looking for them, they can find them easily and be reunited. You can take them to your local vet, for them to handle it or you can contact your local council for further assistance.
